Come join our hybrid event with Dr. Dennis Lowe on Ptosis, Double Vision and Myasthenia!  In this talk, Dr Lowe will be going through common presentations of ptosis and different presents and "masquerades" of myasthenia.  This event will be presented both through Zoom and In-Person. About Dr. Lowe: 

After initially becoming a fully qualified neurologist, Dr Lowe went on to train to become an ophthalmic surgeon. He is the only practitioner in Australia to hold these dual specialties.With vast experience, Dr Lowe has particular interest in ophthalmic surgery (cataract and laser), medical retina, neurologically related eye disease as well as general ophthalmology.

He completed his specialist training through Sydney Eye Hospital with further study at Moorfields Eye Hospital in the UK.. Dr Lowe enjoys participating in charitable/pro-bono surgical training and teaching here and overseas (Vietnam Vision Project, Sight for All Foundation, Australian Health Humanitarian Aid, ACPPRC).

Learning Objectives: 

1. To understand the presentations of ptosis, and identify patients in risk of serious disease 

2. To understand the different ways that myasthenia may present, or "masquerade"

3. To relate presentations of diplopia to myasthenia, ptosis, and other causes, as well as revise its evaluation.
